7'6" minimal; 9' longboard; 9ft Swellie [not fashionable but great for tiny days and paddling over to St. Michael's Mount - hanging out with the swans on the way].
Philosophy on surfing:
Surfing can provide you with pretty much everything you need to keep yourself in check. It is amazing for you physically and spiritually; it can take you places geographically and personally; it can give you big highs and big lows. For some surfing is a lifestyle - for me it is a way of life and I'm pretty lucky that the whole Global Boarders Team have a deep, shared passion and we can spend every day doing what we love, together. Philosophy on teaching:
Watching individuals experience what I did 8 years ago everyday is the most brilliant feeling for a coach / teacher. Guiding the youth of today away from the ‘.com’ culture inspiring peer to peer respect and reducing obesity are the core elements of my motivation. Cornwall is blessed with endless golden sands and picture perfect waves. I ask you, if the opportunity is there why not take it?
Philosophy on surfing:
Surfing changed my life, opening doors and creating everlasting connections and friendships with people from all walks of life and places in the world. The most addictive sport you can ever take up, with the chance to travel to foreign places in search of perfect waves.

Philosophy on Surfing:
Gives you a great perspective on life in general. Sends you flying around the world in a frenzy of wave fever. For me no one sums it up better than my colleague and Global Boarders Head Coach Chris Brown, to quote him directly:
"Surfing is a source, it will change your life forever, you are never to old to start. It's a way of life - it becomes your very 'raison d'etre' and a way of getting in tune with nature and your surrounding eco systems and allows you to channel the forces of nature to your advantage. It gives you what I call a 'heightened sense of things', let's call it an awareness. The awareness allows us to understand we are all one. All of us. It's also a really good laugh."
Thanks Chris!
