This trip is open to all level of surfer - complete beginner to advanced. The aim of the Desert Surfari is to significantly improve your surfing whilst exploring the exotic landscape of Morocco.
Whether you're looking to surf for the first time, catch some world-class waves, or just escape the winter weather, the Global Boarders 8 day Desert Surfari should be ideal for all levels of surfers interested in something slightly different. Not only is Morocco home to some of the world's best and most consistent breaks, it's also one of the most interesting, vibrant and exotic countries on the planet. We can guarantee that you'll enjoy deserted breaks, expert guiding, stylish beach house accommodation and great food and visits to vibrant souks and other cultural spots included.
The trip is ideal for surfers of all abilities, including first-timers. It is perfect for those wishing to enjoy great waves and expert guiding while also experiencing unique culture and scenery. Unlike other Morocco camps, we do not limit ourselves to the beaches immediately north of Agadir, so this is also the ideal tour for those wishing to explore as much of Morocco's coastline as possible.
On the ground you'll be guided to and from the best beaches and coached by a fully qualified instructor who guarantees to have beginners up and riding by the end of their stay and progressors pushing the boundaries of their surfing capabilities. There is also a chance for some video analysis and surf theory workshops including wave prediction/data reading.
Our accommodation is located in a refurbished riad (a traditional Moroccan house), full of character and charm - a tranquil place to relax after a day of surfing Morocco's waves.
All the meals are provided and the cuisine is local - breakfast is served at the house, lunches are usually at the beach and delicious Moroccan gourmet evening meals are prepared by our local chef at the house.
Whilst there are a number of other companies out there offering surfing vacations we can say, hand on heart, that we and our partners on the ground, truly believe in offering the very best customer service, and the highest possible level of surf guiding and tuition. Lastly, we would say that if you are looking for a vacation where the emphasis is on partying as opposed to surfing, this is not the trip for you. Whilst we make every effort to make every one of our vacations a fun and exciting experience we also respect the local traditions and customs of wherever we surf. We are happy to accept groups on this basis. On this particular break we do not accept surfers under 18 years of age unless accompanied by a guardian.

You will be met by your Global Boarders representative at Agadir International Airport and driven to our base, a stylish surf house located just yards from one of the world's top 10 breaks. If your flight arrives before noon, you'll have time to catch waves on your first day. If not, you should at least have time to witness an incredible sunset.
Both ways you'll get your first taste of delicious Moroccan cuisine with a gourmet meal cooked by our local chef. A typical day would run like this:
Begin with a leisurely breakfast where you can feast on flatbreads, honey, yogurt and fresh coffee.
We can provide all equipment or you are welcome to bring your own. Strong intermediates and advanced surfers can test out the perfect waves right in the front of our house, with or without an instructor. Meanwhile, beginners and early intermediates will receive their first day of surfing at one of the many local beach breaks that offer gentle, consistent waves.
During the week, we'll guide you to hidden point and beach breaks, suitable for all level of surfer, through a stunning variety of landscapes from rocky, cactus-filled desert land, to lush, traditional farmland, and back to ocean cliffs and long, deserted beaches.
This is an ideal opportunity to explore an interesting country, learn to surf or improve your technique whilst stretching your physical and mental boundaries to whichever point you feel comfortable.
Time to relax and enjoy some fresh fish, chicken or lamb and salads on the beach.
Gourmet Moroccan meals will be prepared by our local chef including tagine - a mini cone-shaped clay oven stuffed full of vegetables, seafood, or meat and then steamed over hot coals.
We'll transfer you from the accommodation back to Agadir International Airport.
