Cornish Pirates Learning Zone
LINKS TO CURRICULUM THROUGH EFFECTIVE PARTNERSHIPS
Global Boarders strives to provide the ultimate experience for users of their service. To enhance the experience of the children and adults Global Boarders has formed a partnership with the Cornish Pirates Learning Zone
www.pirateslearningzone.com with the aim to maximise the outcomes of the Schools Surf Experiences.
The CPLZ employs qualified teachers to provide curriculum linked extended activities for children. The Cornish Pirates Learning Zone is based at the Mennaye Rugby Ground in Penzance forms part of the national network of 164, Playing for Success Centres. Traditionally based at Premiership Rugby and Football Clubs, the Centres are a hotbed of innovation and creativity.
As an extension to the activities we provide, use of the Learning Zone enables our clients to learn and extend skills in the Apple suite. Children can produce a DVD movie, comic or animation of their visit to take back to school / home or alternatively load it onto their favourite website. For schools and services wanting much more then the traditional school trip this offers a way for service evaluation and for vulnerable groups a way of journaling and recording the experience offered in West Cornwall.
The Learning Zone support our pledge of a personalised learning experience that makes a difference and will happily discuss outcomes that clients would want to see for their children.
EVC officers are welcome to call, email the Centre Manager [via Global Boarders] to discuss the personal requirements.

Global Boarders A Little Less Tick Tock
Surfing is a journey - A Search both geographically and personally. Uniquely, we provide an Award-winning Surf Experience which meets The Search whilst striking a balance between the conditions and the requirements of the surfers within any given group. Whilst our days are structured and our minds focused we do not stick rigidly to a clock as weather and sea conditions change from moment to moment. This journey takes time.
